Product Details
These two .69 caliber round balls (one has a very distinct mold line) were recovered from the Cedar Creek battlefield. These artifacts come from the Collection of Wilbur Bedall, a thirty year relic hunter who amassed a large collection of artifacts and carefully recorded the location of recovery for the items that he found. The Battle of Cedar Creek, a very important 1864 engagement that was fought close to Winchester, VA. is known to history for the famous ride made by General Sheridan in an effort to rally his army after a surprise Confederate attack. A provenance letter will be included.
