JUST ADDED ON 5/25 - WILLIAMSBURG - Etched Brass Side Plate from an Early Musket / Rifle or Pistol
A decorated brass piece (2 1/8 inches long) that appears to be from a side plate of an early musket or rifle (possibly Revolutionary War period) or even a pistol of that period. It was found near the New Quarter area of Williamsburg almost twenty years ago. The relic hunter who worked this site found Civil War and Colonial period artifacts. A provenance letter will be included.
