JUST ADDED ON 8/1 - THE BATTLE OF ANTIETAM / DUNKER CHURCH - Brass Stud with Leather & Coin Button
A brass accoutrement stud with leather still attached and a coin/flat button that were recovered close to the Dunker Church at Antietam in the 1960s. The Dunker Church is, perhaps, the most famous building on the Antietam battlefield and was at the heart of the morning's fight. I acquired this artifact more than a decade ago, but it has been stored away until "rediscovered" last week. A provenance letter will be included.
