JUST ADDED ON 9/ 14 - THE BATTLE OF CRAMPTON'S GAP / FRONT OF POSITION OF PARHAM'S CONFEDERATE BRIGADE / SOUTH MOUNTAIN - .69 Caliber Round Ball A-CG04

This .69 caliber round ball was found by relic hunter Don Abramson in the area in front of the position occupied by Parham's Confederate Brigade at the base of South Mountain (private property at the time with permission). I have included a photograph of a map in this listing that shows this area. The Battle of Crampton's Gap, fought on September 14th, 1862, as part of the Battles at South Mountain, provided General Lee the vital time that he needed to gather his army near Sharpsburg which ultimately led to the Battle of Antietam. Parham's Confederates faced the defended against the attack of the Union VI Corps until forced to retreat. I will include a letter with the specific provenance information.
