JUST ADDED ON 9/28 - THE BATTLE OF GLENDALE / DUBOSE COLLECTION - A Large Fragment from a Parrott Artillery Shell
A nice large fragment (3 1/2 x 3 inches) from the base of a Parrott artillery shell with old painted "26" on the side which came out of the collection of the famous Dubose family of Georgia. The fragment was found at the site of the Battle of Glendale, an important battle in the famous Seven Days Battles of 1862. The fragment was a part of the massive collection of the Dubose family, much of which is now featured in the Atlanta History Center. The Dubose Family collection is often considered to be the largest collection of Civil War artifacts in the country. A provenance letter will be included.
