NEW ITEMS WERE ADDED ON DECEMBER 4TH – ARTIFACTS FROM GETTYSBURG, ANTIETAM, CRAMPTON’S GAP, SHILOH, MONOCACY, SPOTSYLVANIA, TREVILIAN STATION AND RINGGOLD GAP!

It is all about the provenance!  When I began collecting Civil War artifacts back when I was a child, I was always much more interested in the recovery location of an artifact than the rarity or value of the artifact itself.  As a historian, I have made every effort to acquire artifacts with solid provenance.  The intent of this website is to offer Civil War relics with a historical connection so that the collector can feel secure in the knowledge that they are getting something from a specific event or place.  Each item includes a provenance letter with all of the details that I know about the piece.

Product Details

This fired bullet with original painted identification that was found by John Marks. The painted identification is chipped, so I am not certain where the recovery location was or in what year it was found. Marks was a famous Memphis collector who carefully documented all of the relics that he found (with painted identification which included location and date) during thirty years of relic hunting. His collection was well-known and relics from it were featured in North South Trader and Francis Lord's Civil War Collectors' Encyclopedia. Marks passed away a few years ago. I will include a letter containing the provenance information.
