JUST ADDED ON 1/15 - THE BATTLE OF ANTIETAM / DUNKER CHURCH - Very Large Coat-Sized Flat or Coin Button
Out of stock
A very large flat or coin button (29 mm - broken shank - these are typically associated with Confederate use) that was recovered close to the Dunker Church at Antietam in the 1960s. The Dunker Church is, perhaps, the most famous building on the Antietam battlefield and was at the heart of the morning's fight. I acquired this artifact more than a decade ago, but it has been stored away until "rediscovered" this past summer. A provenance letter will be included.
