Product Details

A fired Enfield bullet that was recovered on October 7, 1962 at the site of the Battle of Gaines' Mill. This artifact comes out of the collection of William Reger who lived in Berks County, Pennsylvania and relic hunted at a variety of sites from the late 1950s to the mid 1970s. Reger carefully identified his artifacts with typed labels. Gaines' Mill was the second of the famous Seven Days Battles fought outside of Richmond. Lee's attack upon the Union line here ultimately proved successful, but at the cost of high casualties. A provenance letter will be included.
