JUST ADDED ON 3/24 - THE BATTLE OF ANTIETAM / DUNKER CHURCH - Burnside Carbine Bullet and Cartridge Casing
A Burnside Carbine bullet and a brass cartridge casing (I think this might be from a Gallagher) that were recovered close to the Dunker Church at Antietam in the 1960s. The Dunker Church is, perhaps, the most famous building on the Antietam battlefield and was at the heart of the morning's fight. I acquired these artifacts more than a decade ago, but it has been stored away until "rediscovered" last summer. A provenance letter will be included.
