Out of stock
This bullet with a star in the cavity. sometimes referred to as a Washington Arsenal bullet, was a part of the collection of the famous relic hunter Bill Gavin and was in a group of relics that were identified as having been found in Camp Santee - site of the 1862-1863 winter camp for A.P. Hill's Corps near Corbin, Virginia. Bill Gavin was the first relic hunter to use a metal detector to search for Civil War artifacts (back in the 1940s) and amassed a hug collection of items in the decades that followed. I will include a provenance letter.
