A brass buckle from a strap (2 x 1 1/2 inches) with hand-forged iron tongue which was recovered in the early 1990s near White's Ford on the Potomac River (close to Leesburg, VA). This ford was used by Lee's Army at the beginning of the invasion of Maryland in 1862. A provenance letter will be included.
