JUST ADDED ON 9/8 - GUNBOAT SUNK IN 1864 - JAMES RIVER - .58 Caliber Bullets recovered in 1973 (sold by the piece)
.58 caliber bullets that were recovered from the wreck of a Civil War gunboat that sank in 1864 in the James River. All of the bullets have a chalky patina as a result of being in the water. According to the collector's original label, they were recovered in 1973. I am selling them by the piece (you can buy as many as you want, although you will not be able to choose a specific bullet) and they will come with a copy of the typed label. These bullets were in a large Pennsylvania collection of carefully identified relics that were recovered in the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. It will include a copy of the collector's original label and a provenance letter.
